Papanicolaou Stain OG-6 is an alcohol-based cytoplasmic stain formulated for use in the Pap staining procedure. This solution contains Orange G dye to selectively stain keratinized and mature squamous cells, providing strong orange coloration and enhanced contrast during microscopic evaluation. OG-6 is applied after hematoxylin nuclear staining and before EA counterstaining, serving as an intermediate cytoplasmic stain in the Pap sequence. It helps differentiate cellular maturation and keratinization patterns in gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens. Suitable for use in clinical, hospital, and reference laboratory settings.
