AFB Kinyoun Carbol Fuchsin, 8 oz, Ethos

AFB Kinyoun Carbol Fuchsin is formulated for use as the primary stain in acid-fast staining procedures, including the Kinyoun “cold” method. It penetrates the waxy cell walls of acid-fast organisms, producing a strong red coloration that resists decolorization with acid-alcohol. This allows clear differentiation of acid-fast bacteria from non–acid-fast material after application of a suitable counterstain.
